My name is Priya Shah, and I am a licensed clinical psychologist and certified parent coach.
My career began in the corporate world, working with deadlines, deliverables, and constant pressure. Then life handed me an unexpected pause: a breast cancer diagnosis. That experience reshaped not only my priorities, but my sense of purpose.
In the midst of recovery, I realized I wanted my work to align with what truly mattered, helping others. That led me to pursue a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and dedicate myself fully to this field.
This work is deeply personal to me.
The goal of this website is to be a safe, supportive, and resourceful space where parents, teens, young adults and educators can access psychological insights, practical tools, and compassionate guidance. We aim to make complex concepts simple, provide real-life strategies for everyday challenges, and create a community built on empathy and connection.
A world where families are built on self-awareness, and compassion. Where parents feel supported, children feel understood, and teachers are equipped to create environments where every student can thrive.
To empower parents, teens, young adults and educators with psychological tools and emotional support that help them build stronger relationships, embrace challenges with resilience, and nurture healthier, more connected lives.
I now work with parents, teens, and young adults who are ready to move beyond patterns that no longer serve them. Whether it’s navigating parent–teen dynamics, building resilience, or reshaping self-talk, my goal is to help clients create lives marked by connection, confidence, and joy.
I founded Psyonara as a space for individuals and families to let go of what weighs them down and to grow stronger in themselves and in their relationships.
I do this work because I believe change ripples outward: when we heal and show up differently, it strengthens our relationships, and those shifts can impact generations.

I bring honesty, compassion, and my whole self into the work. I am transparent and engaged, often sharing reflections that might spark new insight or help you feel less alone. If you’re looking for a “blank slate” therapist, I may not be the right fit. I’m right there with you.
I think deeply about my clients and their challenges. It’s not unusual for me to start a session by saying, “I was reflecting on what we discussed last week, and something came to mind…”
I’m steady, unshaken, and able to hold the full range of human experience. I laugh. I bring warmth. You will always know you are with a real human being.
Parenting and healing can feel overwhelming, and it’s natural to have questions before you begin. Here, we answer some of the most common concerns so you can feel clear, supported, and confident about taking the next step.
We go beyond quick fixes or discipline techniques. Our approach integrates educational psychology and emotional regulation, giving you tools for long-term growth.
Not at all. While we support parents, teens, and educators in crisis, many people come to us simply to deepen connection, build resilience, or prevent burnout.
No. Our work also supports teens struggling with identity and educators navigating classroom challenges. We believe healing ripples out through families, schools, and communities.
Sessions are conversational, safe, and practical. We blend listening, reflective exercises, and actionable strategies, always tailored to your needs.
Everyone’s journey is different, but many clients notice shifts within a few sessions, whether it’s calmer responses, better communication, or a renewed sense of hope.
